AUTOart Pagani Huayra R – Bianco Benni (UPDATE)

** UPDATE ** A bump for a few more pics!  Why is there a delay in releasing the entire film roll?

We don’t exactly know if there is trouble in the hen house, but the pace of AUTOart releases has truly slowed down, this is very evident in the last year or so…  We do have a pre-production sample image of the 1:18 composite and opening Pagani Huayra R in Bianco Benni finish to share.  Still, there is no word on delivery.  One thing I learned many years ago is that patience is key to this hobby.  However, AUTOart does stretch that patience thin.  This model does look better polished from an exterior perspective than say the likes of the recent LCD release.  Will it just arrive too late?

It´s a surprise that AA picks up the gauntlet from LCD, given the slow pace of deliveries from AA. This will be at least two years from now if it is not fast-tracked.
Will it be too late? Definitely too late to skip the LCD, unless LCD messes up and delivers horrible quality like on some of the Barchettas. You just don ´t know at what quality and whether at all a model will materialize these days. My favourite AA example is the Ford Raptor. Is it five years now since it was announced first?

Wow, what a surprise! I didn’t expect to see the first sample pics earlier than in two years or so… It has been anounced only some weeks ago, if I remember correctly. This looks much more precise and sharper than the LCD-version. The first pictures of their samples didn’t convince me. Let’s see , if the Interior details of the AA model can keep up with the LCD.
I don’t understand the release strategy from AA anymore. Some models seem to take decades before they are released, and others just pop out of the blue sky…
I just hope, we don’t have to wait to long for this one to be released!

I’ve read elsewhere – maybe it was Lambo on DX? – that AutoArt is now waiting until product is almost ready for release before making announcements or showing sample images, so we could see this much sooner.

As interesting as it is having LCD in the hobby – they cram in a lot of functional parts at a reasonable price – their models don’t display anywhere near as well as AA. Someone will be along soon to complain about the materials used I’m sure but for overall shape, sharpness, stance and shelf presence there really is no contest.
Where LCD can make ground is producing models like the Supra and McLaren F1 that will likely never be done by AA or where the AA is long out of production with crazy prices on the used market. Where there’s overlap I’d take the AA every time.

Is there really only one pic from AA? They are just pathetic these days. How are collectors supposed to make a preorder decision for what will likely be a $300 model based off one pic!

Chill your boots. This is only the first sample image they’ve shown, obviously there will be more.
As for pathetic, the quality of their output has improved drastically since the last few diecast and early composite models. I’m not a fan. Of the prices but they’ve released some objectively excellent models over the last couple of years.

LCD for me then! Autoart is just to slow to market with models and have been for years. Plastic overpriced plastic.
