AUTOart has unveiled their version of the 1:18 Dodge Challenger 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker. With 360 access, the composite and metal design will arrive in January with two initial colours, TorRed and Pitch Black. Four colours in total are on the planned release list, each is noted below. Based on the limited photos the model looks extremely good. Are you not interested because the model is crafted in composite?

Waiting for the Plum Crazy version. In some ways, I do prefer it being made in composite, because I had a bad experience with zinc pests and paint oxidations with my older models. At least now with these composites, I don’t have to worry.
However, we don’t know how composite will age? Personal side, the oldest composite in my personal collection is the Revell Artega GT. It is 20 years + and still looks like the day I added it to the collection.
I still have one of the very first composite model from Aa, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3; Six years on and it still looks the same. Prior to Aa going composite, my first model made of plastic/composite was a 1/12 Tamiya Enzo and to this day still no issues. I don’t think there will be any problems when they age.
Props to them for adding the Demonic Red-interior on those, gives the interior a nice pop, especially on the black version. I preordered black and Plum Crazy purple as the other colors are already to be made on the Demon – a little bit more variety wouldn’t have hurt.
I already own the 1:1 version and it’s awesome.
Would love a 2020 Scat pack shaker in GoMango w/sunroof.
I have the 1:1 2021 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Shaker Widebody in Granite Grey. Are there any plans on doing these 1:18 models in a widebody?
Based on how well the current models were received, their is likely a chance they will be. The flip side with AUTOart it could literally take years!
