    That Lexus looks really sharp!

  2. Veneno says:

Why do they keep pairing red interior with yellow exterior? Not a fan, reminds me of McDonald’s colors.

The AA LFA looks a chunk sharper and more detailed than the ST Well release. I think that will be like the LCD McLaren 600LT – a great model in its own right but the AA is simply better in many regards. Whether it’s worth all of the premium will depend on your priorities as a collector, and it’s great to have the choice and to see new companies releasing reasonably priced models.

    • Yaron says:

Are you kidding? LCD was better with the 600LT than AUTOart

      • spikyone says:

Not at all. The LCD has some nice details, no doubt, like the opening filler cap and grilles for the door speakers. But the stance, fine details on the exterior, and especially the panel gaps of the AutoArt version are better. I have the LCD version because it came out first and at that point the prototype photos of the AA looked a bit rough, but IMO the finished AA is the better model.

As I said in my original comment, it will depend to an extent on your priorities as a collector. For me, the more recent AA composite models look great up close.

        • Yaron says:

Yeah you’re right about the panel gaps and stance. But in my opinion the extra features like the ones you mentioned, as well as the folding mirrors and suspension, and also the alcantara felt look all around the interior, outweigh the flaws compared to AUTOart. But as you said, each collector has his own preferences and opinion :)

Based on the number of models we’ve seen from AUTOart, and it is a lot. We would say the LCD is a better option – it wins on many more touch points, especially on price point. NOW LCD’s latest effort saw a significant price increase, the Huayra BC. Is there still a win? AUTOart now has some competition, and we’re sure they don’t want to lose any market share. We can already see that their latest efforts have improved, which is a win for all.

I have a few new AA composites. The LCD has some really nice features but without exception the AA models look noticeably better displayed alongside it. Even if you use the functioning features on your models fairly regularly they spend 99% of their life sitting on a shelf. If I had the decision now I’d go for the AA because IMO it’s better for that. There’s no doubt the LCD McLaren is a great model though, especially considering its price, and already owning it I wouldn’t trade up to the AA.

On topic I’m really keen on the Diablos, the balloon white of the SE Jota is gorgeous but I slightly prefer the cleaner lines of the regular 30th Anniversary car. Such a tough call on which to buy! I still need to pick up an Aventador SVJ too, before the viola ones disappear again…

  4. Ollie says:

Apart from the engine cover with the scoops on the standard SE30, what is the difference between the 30th Anniversary version and the stand one?

    • Ollie says:

      *standard

    • HOTWEELS164 says:

SE 30 (or 30th anniversary) have specific front bumper and rockers, 30th Ann. plaques, carbon interior, specific windows and engine cover.
In addition to that, SE30 Jota ones have a different engine cover (scoops) and an admission kit as well.
Regarding the wing, I’m not sure…

    • Kostas says:

The SE30 has also exclusive redesign magnesium wheels.

As far as I can remember when the jota performance upgrade was presented it wasn’t road legal, and later on it kind of evolved in something that was implemented in the Diablo SV variant as a regular road legal model.
