BBR Diecast, 1:18, Opening Bits… Ferrari F12 tdf?

There has been some talk among collectors of a BBR scale model in diecast metal with opening parts for the last little while.  Today images of a prototype model have surfaced proving the existence of the Ferrari F12 tdf in 1:18 scale.  Could this be the first diecast model from BBR since the Ferrari Enzo?  Possibly, but there is yet no official word or evidence of the beast on the website. Maybe we have a prototype Bburago Signature ++ in the works.

Yes the model is definitely is early pre-production stage, as there is much evidence that gaps the currently attention to detail in their resin line.  Some of which include them massive dog-leg hinges for the bonnet, poor carbon fibre work, plastic looking and bulky bits within the interior, panel gaps and more.  Or could this be evidence of a solid opening price point Ferrari diecast model that will drive volume instead of catering to rich and wealthy?  Only time will tell, oh, and pigs do fly…

Nice but not the BBR quality. But if it’s a Burago, it’s a nice model !

  2. Sac says:

BBR should stick to wat they are best at..resin models..

  3. BBR has let us dealers know about the diecast line for a while. The TDF is confirmed but pricing is not. The models will be out later this year!

Seeing the carbon fiber around the headlight and grills perforated I believe it’s not a Bburago, though I wish it would be. Sigh!

  5. Robs model cars says:

This is indeed a BBR diecast model (pre production sample)
2017 will be releasing Ferrari TDF, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Ferrari 430 16M spider, Ferrari FXXK, LaFerrari coupe & LaFerrari spider.

  6. DS Team says:

Well it definitely is a BBR upcoming release. Product# is assigned – BBR182100. Model will be unveiled at the German Toy Fair!

  7. Daniel says:

If Autoart released something like this in die-cast we’d all go mad for it (apart from the dog leg bonnet hinges) so I’m taking my hat off to BBR for filling the void!

I think that it is exactly on the contrary ! If Autoart will announce something so crude in detail and execution, there will be heavy bombardment from all sides coming down on them…So hopefully this will be highly improved, or the criticizm on Autoart will ease up a bit, as otherwise this will be for sure champion of how bad model could be for such big price ;-)

Hello I’m Korean When will it be released?

  9. GLOCK says:

I can’t believe they want to charge this for near 400 dollars! what a crap for 400 dollars!
ps, BBR does have other diecasts other than Enzo and F430 (F430 is not BBR quality to me, lousy design), they have 375 and 512bb with pretty impressive details and qualities. This F12 TDF sure isn’t impressive to me.
