BBR New Ferrari F50 Spider 1995 & More!

Fans of BBR Ferrari resin models have another option for their version of  1:18 Ferrari F50 Spider.  Nice attention to detail on the motor side, top and rear view available, not something commonly found…  Three colours will be made available, they include Yellow, Red and Black.  Production for the Red is the highest of the three with 349 pieces, while the remaining two will settle for 139 pieces each.

On a side note, their 1:43 scale assortment will grow by one, BBR plans to release the Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Serie I  Solar Yellow exterior.  This car once belonged to American collector Hilary Raab.  Sorry, no photos to share at this time, though production we say production is limited to 39 pieces.

Looks like the engine glass is a moveable part? That’d would be a nice idea from them.

  2. Patrick van Bergen says:

The yellow F50’s came with black headlight inserts only. Small but not insignificant detail..

Agreed. On the red one its looks better as well with a black frame.
Moreover, on the coupe and on the spider, the little headlights with turning signals are off on these first samples: they need a bit more clarity, in order to distinguish the bulbs color.
I have the F50 coupe on pre-order for more than a year now, the anticipation is growing. I hope I won’t be disappointed (again) with the final product :/

Some well informed sources over the web stated that the black housing was not automatically installed. It was (always) up to the customer. It was quite obscure how things were managed back in the days.

Apart from the headlight housing that should be black on yellow F50s as noted by Patrick and the way too simplistic treatment on the position lights\indicators in the front, I really appreciate that they put some real effort in the engine and gave the model a very fine see through mesh in the back. Also the rear wing seems very well moulded. From the back it seems to me that this model is the best F50 I’ve seen so far.

The concave rear rims have for the first time been accurately replicated in 1/18. Even amalgam failed in that…

F50 GT would be amazing – if anyone at BBR happens to be reading this…
