BBR has unveiled new photos of the painted sample 1:18 diecast and full-opening Ferrari Purosangue. This example is shown in the traditional Ferrari Red with a tan interior side. This model is coming along strong! Love the little elements like gas filler access and interior functions. We’re looking forward to this one!

I’ve recently been visiting family in Germany and was able to collect the BBR Ferrari Purosangue delivered to my son, post restante. It’s the HE180053B in gorgeous Rossa Corso 322. I carefully removed the outer slipcase, then opened up the inner box to reveal the closed clamshell. I checked out the descriptive instruction booklet, removed the cleaning brush and opening tool from the clamshell, lifted it up … and just laughed out loud to discover that the model was nestling under an elasticated, Ferrari branded protective cloth cover in a matching shade of dark red … unbelievable!! What a treat; it even made my wife laugh. I’m surprised that none of reviews mentioned this ott BBR realism!
Funny thing, our example is ready to ship, received confirmation for payment this week. I’m the only member on the immediate team who purchased one, and the spec that I chose was not part of the initial batch. (Something I did not foresee in advance.)
IMO, the model looks exceptional, and I would have likely commented, as you mentioned above, on those little things. I may still review it or at min do a Photo Gallery entry. Thanks for the feedback!
A full review would be really good. This BBR model is full of novel features which follow accurately the 1:1 design: backward opening rear doors; 4-wheel steering; removable fuel filler cap; tilting front seats … and on top of all that, the tailored protective cloth cover!
I purchased mine from German website modelcar24, their last one available, price 350€ with no Customs Duties to pay for delivery to my son’s home address within Germany, and only 19% VAT – a real bargain! The only drawback was having to wait several months before I could visit my son and collect the model – along with a couple more Ferrari models stored for me in his basement, similarly acquired from German websites.
My other son lives in France and I’ll shortly be visiting him to collect a couple of Ferrari models acquired from other European websites / eBay.
