I am waiting for Bburago to confirm that they will no longer be producing Ferrari models…like many of us are! :-)

    • David Jenkins says:

I would have to agree with you Hector…100%! Ferrari deservedly need a manufacturer like Norev to produce models of quality yet affordable so they are not out of the reach of all in this hobby.

      • Joao says:

The perfect company to have the Ferrari licence would be Welly. They’ve been making the best bidget models for years and years and with their GTAutos series owuld be a perfect fit. Too bad they’re, apparently, not investin in 1:18 any more…

Nonetheless, you are all absolutely right: everyone needs a brand releasing decent models at a decent price and at a decent rate! Just useing a licence to resell old models for 3x the price is just plain stupid IMO.

    • DS Team says:

ROTFL… Think all we want is a decent, fair price product. Something on the lines of the old HWE releases.

    • Ollie says:

I’ve never seen a bigger waste of a license than Bburago buying the Ferrari license and then releasing only a handful of half-decent models. I understand that Ferrari themselves probably love the fact that Bburago produce toys at prices that are accessible to the younger crowd, thereby hopefully building aspirations in kids to one day own the real thing, but for collectors it’s been an absolute disaster. I’m hopeful that one day a serious company will get the license and build models worthy of the marque but at prices more affordable than BBRs. Ferrari is too iconic a brand to waste on a company as inept as Bburago.

  2. Douglas Benford says:

I am all for Bburago being dropped by Ferrari. I cannot believe that a car manufacturer like Ferrari thinks that Bburago produce quality die cast models that reflect Ferrari’s heritage..shocking!

  3. Michel Malinchak says:

Ferrari dropped Bburago many, many years when they used to produce Ferrari models. Looks like they have not learnt al all, very sad for this hobby!

  4. Steve Windsor says:

Would that not be the perfect chrsitmas present for all, to hear that Ferrari or no longer with Bburago.

  5. Martin says:

I do not bother at all with Bburago ‘models’ they are just toys. I long for a quality manufacturer to produce Ferrari models. Bring back Hot Wheels Elite please.

  6. Arthur says:

I have been collecting die cast models for over 40 years and I have never purchased a Bburago model becuase the quality…sorry lack of quality is the problem. And to think that Ferrari as a company are happy with Bburago…oh deary me!

  7. Ben says:

I would love to add many Ferrari models to my collection of 1:18 cars but don’t waste my money on Bburago’s inferior models. How I long for a quality manufacturer to produce Ferrari in 1:18 at an affrodable price. Anyone like Norev, Autoart etc.

  8. Ben says:

I’m rather amused that practically all comments have veered off-tangent from the topic – no mention at all of the Bugatti Chiron Sport! However, I do agree with all here about this ongoing frustrating issue – the lack of affordable Ferrari models which are of credible quality & in the correct scale size too

  9. Derek Jones says:

Indeed it is rather amusing how there is no love for Bburago but I have to admit that I do not bother with this brand also. They produce toys and will never be considered one of the die cast elite.

  10. Ferrari777 says:

I have to agree with the majority, Bburago are nothing more than toys, they are not aimed at the serious die cast collector at all. It is very annoying and frustrating that Ferrari have given the license to Bburago…for how long this license runs is anyones guess?! I have one Christmas wish and that is for another quality yet affordable manufacturer to take over the reigns and bring back the fun in collecting Ferrari scale models…are you listening Norev? :-)

  11. Rui Cravelo says:

Hi, I live in Spain and I do not like Bburago, they make toy cars for the childrens. You need a good company to make nice models of Ferrari cars for we collectors. Bburago do not have good quality and they make mistakes.

  12. Ole Andre says:

Its out now. Its the same as other Chiron when it comes to open parts.
You can open doors, bonett and rear spoiler. It acctually dont look that bad

  13. REINALDO says:

    Where are the ferraris 458 gt3 and 488 gt3 1/18?
