CMC Ferrari D50, 1956 Long Nose

This model was mentioned briefly back in January as new upcoming variants of Lancia and Ferrari D50 assortment expansion.  CMC has released new images of the Ferrari D50 variant, the Long Nose version.  The model here is shown in pre-production form but is already looking mighty fine in Ferrari Red and race trim.  The model celebrates the Grand Prix of Germany, driver Juan Manuel Fangio.  The release date is scheduled for later this year.  Enjoy the pics!

  2. Alex says:

I am a big time 1/18 CMC ferrari collector and I love detail. I must say this engine bay looks like crap. Thanks for the photos. This will probably be the only 1/18 CMC Ferrari that will not be in my collection.

  3. George K says:

I have quite a few CMCs, and I fully agree- I have no interest in this model, as that engine looks like something out of a Bburago. Not at that price. What the hell, CMC?

  4. Imran Razzaq says:

I have all the CMC Ferrari models and the engine detailing is exquisite on all. However, as the respondents above have commented it appears from the photos that the engine bay detailing is less than perfect. Is there someone out there that has bought the D50 and can give us a definitive view? Many thanks

Hi Imran,I too have all the Ferrari models, and when the D50 came out I wanted for a number version, when I got it I was very disappointed with the engine, very crude fuel lines, air intake mesh is out of scale looking and crudely glued, have a look on this site for the review and there point this out too.
