Another year, another standout! The polls have closed, the votes are in, and we’re thrilled to announce the 2024 DiecastSociety.com Model of the Year. While we initially considered keeping the results brief, this year’s winner truly deserves the spotlight.
Congratulations to MotorHelix and their Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA! This striking model took the top honour with ease, and rightfully so. The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA by MotorHelix is nothing short of stunning—a beautiful blend of presence, precision, and presentation.
We’d be remiss not to spotlight a close contender: the Almost Real Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster. Having seen both models up close, we must admit the Zonda edges out the Giulia in terms of overall refinement and finish. That said, what secured the win for MotorHelix was their exceptional value and an impressive suite of accessories that elevate the entire package.
MotorHelix, if you’re listening: keep doing what you’re doing—but consider trimming down the filler accessories and adjusting the price point. More competitive pricing could be the key to winning even more hearts (and market share).
From the affordable end of the spectrum, Solido makes a bold appearance at #9 with their creative and rugged Volkswagen Beetle Baja. It’s a unique and refreshing choice that stands out from the crowd—make sure to check out our full review and photo gallery for more.
With 2,416 votes cast this year, thank you to everyone who participated and supported the hobby. A huge thanks also goes out to the manufacturers who continue to bring automotive excellence to scale. Here’s to another year of collecting, comparing, and celebrating diecast greatness!

Congratulations! Motorhelix’s victory is as deserved as clear and foreseeable. It is worth pointing out that AA is back in the top three with an improved Aston Martin DB5. And that Norev’s Porsche is up there amongst premium manufacturers, which lays testament to their efforts. The BBR is a surprise, with sealed resin usually ranking lowest in the poll.
