Double Duty ACME 1966 Shelby GT350H Trans-Am Mustangs

Hot off the press are a couple of 1:18, diecast metal 1966 Shelby GT350H Trans-Am Mustangs.  The Red with Gold stripe #314 is modelled after the sixties “Rent a Racer” program by the Hertz’s rental car company.  The second is fitted with Black with Gold stripe exterior.  Each model has full access to the interior, motor, and more.  Retail is suggested $134.95 a piece. 500 and 400 units of each colour will be put into production.  The expected street date is July 2018.

Dayum! That red racer! I’m getting that!

    • the1 says:

The red one is the real Mustang, not the 1:18 replica, right?

      • Robert says:

Yeah, I think you’re right! The 1/18 probably will look a lot like the black car, with no staggered wheel and tire set and none of the stuff that really makes it stand out… Meh. in that case, I’ll pass.

  2. Jim Forte says:

Please repeat after me: The Shelby GT350 was never a legal entrant in the Sports Car Club of America’s original Trans Am series!

    • Jett says:

Gee, you better tell the SCCA that. The GT-350R won three straight SCCA B-production championships, after all…

    • Charles Stünzi says:

You’re probably right, Jim, but me and my friends think that it looks a lot hotter than the GT350R and GT350 race versions that were produced by Lane and by GMP. So again it depends what you as a customer expect and want…
