The guys at DNA Collectibles are giving fans a first look at their latest project, the 1:18 Volvo P1800. The pre-production example is shown in early grey-wear form. Personally, we love the styling cues of this here Volvo. No word on exterior colour, but the model is due this coming December. Only 320 units will go into production.

Looks like a great choice, and a very good model, maybe even a great one depending on final colors, detail level, and quality. Not what I collect, but so very refreshing to see something like this.
A refinder model, but it already excists. Woudn’t be my choice for a new model as a model maker.
Yes and no….. this is a model of the original First series cars. Different bumpers, wheels, and a few details. Only the later cars were made in 1:18 so far.
Nice! I have their Bond Bug and love it. These guys are pumping out interesting models at a rapid fire pace.
I found the 1/18 German Revell 1800S to be unsuccessful. The detail was nice but the lines were off. The Volvo 1800 series is hard to model. The design is very subtle and hard to capture accurately. The prototype was and still is heavily modeled in 1/43 scale, but rarely in larger scales. I always wondered why. The early Jensen-built version is truest to the original design, as is typical. Pelle Peterson’s first drawings featured the upturned bumpers, full wheel covers, and elegant C-pillar emblems that were simplified in the later 1800S versions. I welcome this.
