First Look GP Replicas 1977 Tyrell (P34) Six-Wheeler

We think this is one of the coolest cars to ever race, and we’re in agreement too.  GP Replicas is unveiling one of their future projects, the 1:18 1977 Tyrell (P34) six-wheeler.  We not sure of the extent of the livery and release date, we suspect Q1 2020.  The team states this is the first time the six-wheeler has been completed in 1:18 scale, we don’t believe this is accurate, maybe a livery or too.

You’re absolutely right. Both Exoto and Truescale made this in 1/18 already. Seems GP Replicas have a short memory.

  2. Vittorio Barzero says:

Actually Tyrrell P34 has already been made as raced in 1976 and first half of 1977 season, until belgian GP. Starting from the next GP, in Sweden, the team raced a B type; GP Replicas seem to have modelled this one, as raced from France to the end of the season (with water cooler placed in front of the car, other than showing a quite different design).

  3. Vincent Preston says:

Correct Vittorio, this model has not been made in 1:18 before.
This will be on my list.

  4. Thomas says:

this is 1977 P34-car. It has completely different bodywork as the 1976 car and was never done in 1:18 before. It comes also with First-National-City sponsorship instead of the 76 Tyrrell-colours. The 76 car was used in a very few races in 1977 also, and so there is a 76-car with FNCB-sponsorship, too.
