We have more newness to share of upcoming new releases from budget-friendly brand Solido. The feature finds the gorgeous 1:18 Porsche 356 Pre-A Version – James Dean Tribute Telefunken 130 in Red. A notable mention to the two Volkswagen T1 Pick Up trucks, each providing service with a smile! All models here are 1:18 scale and feature diecast metal exterior. Look for these in the back half of 2021.

Has any other diecast company been as busy as Solido? Although their models only feature partially open parts, they’ve released, and are scheduled to release more new molds in half a year many companies do for multiple years.
I know some are not a fan of just opening doors alone, but props to Solido for putting their head down and moving forward. They don’t need anybody to make excuses for them with the way they are releasing models. I don’t see long and drawn out milking of certain molds, releasing a billion colors of the same mold and just calling it a day,using COVID as an excuse for everything under the sun, or waiting for 5 years to release certain cars. Whether it is because they have more resources than others (or not), it’s still good to see.
None! They are a monster in 2021, aggressively looking to take market share on the budget side. It is only good for this hobby!
We can’t wait o see their Premier Series (scheduled to arrive in 2022), full access with updated interiors! WOW!!
Solido can significantly up their game by offering their models with chrome moldings and trim on the exteriors, as Sun Star and Yat Ming have done with their models, which are/were very inexpensive..
