FIRST LOOK: Tecnomodel Ferrari 250 GT SWB Bertone

Now, this is an unusual piece from Ferrari, a classic grand tourer for sure.  The team at Tecnomodel is taking up the challenge of 1:18 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Bertone.  And what is shown so far is pretty good, possible exception the interior gauges.  The Ferrari 250 GT SWB Bertone is currently under final review.  Colour palette includes Silver, Red, Blue and Green, interiors colours vary too.

Well, well….. the model manufacturer wars continue. Interesting that Tecnomodel would do this model when Matrix had announced their models of the same car quite awhile ago, and have shown photos of prototypes. I know the Matrix piece will be a better, more accurate model, and will have more fine detail, but this Tecno piece might have an advantage with being a little less expensive, and widely available. It certainly will take a bite out of sales of the Matrix versions.

The real 1:1 car has been shown/painted in several colors over its life. The only color/shade Tecno has right is Silver. Others they show are the wrong shades, and it was Never **Metallic** Blue. I can see other mistakes too, but not going to bother listing them.

Great looking Ferrari to come. The last 3 Matrix 1/18 Ferrari models I’ve received all had poor quality control issues. All 3 needed some repair. The cost of Matrix models is not worth it… however Tecnomodel prices are just as high as Matrix if not more… it’ll be interesting to compare the 2 different renditions of this particular Ferrari model when both are released from Matrix and Tecnomodel. I’ll most likely purchase the Tecnomodel version because of the quality control issues 1/18 Matrix seems to have.

Hello, why did Tecnomodel forget to have the rear storage area floor painted red like the rest of the luggage area?
