FIRST SAMPLE: BBR Diecast Ferrari F80

More BBR news, this one comes from their diecast series and features the 1:18 Ferrari F80.  The jury is out on the model until we see more detailed photos.  We know our pre-order will be made once available.  Let’s hope the spec list is large.  The recent video from Chris Harris on Cars  – Ferrari F80 Driven on Road and Track has definitely made the F80 itch!

  1. Greg says:

I am afraid every next Ferrari gen looks worse. BBR should release something more classic: F430, 458, 488 or F8 full-opening.

    • Wes says:

      I think it looks great!

      • Steven Weiner says:

I think it looks great, too! I’ve been waiting for a 1:18 model of it to come out!

        • Greg says:

Simply looks like unfinished prototype, far from better previous gens. Maybe this a la Robin (from Batman) strap fancies somebody but not me for sure

    • Amin says:

      I am for too. Especialy full opening 812 Competizione , 288 gto , F 430 , 488 pista

      • Greg says:

Especially since they were already producing e.g. the F430. So all they need to do is pull the finished project out of the drawer. What are they waiting for? The interest would be significant I guess

  2. Mike Wiseman says:

I know this is one of those love it or hate it designs but I think it’s a beautiful car. Especially in this color. I only hope it takes a while cause I just bought the AR pagani huayra dinastia. I’m definitely committing to their zonda tricolore and blue carbon Zonda Revolución. Now this BBR F80 has me in a little panic financially

  3. Andrei M says:

Don’t expect this to come out very soon. I mean they still haven’t released the diecast Purosangue and they announced ages ago

  4. Aaron says:

I agree! BBR is idiotic in not doing the 488 Pista, Le Mans winning 499P and the 1978 Ferrari 312T3 in FULLY OPENING DIECAST. Heck, I’m still waiting for BBR to release Leclerc’s 2024 Monaco winning Ferrari as I have that pre-ordered. At least that car is not being done in resin

    • Mozzi says:

Let’s be realistic here. BBR does not make full detail F1 cars. In any media. And they can not make the 499P, simply because it is basically the same car that is still racing. No team would give a full access to a third party of their current winning design.

  5. Mozzi says:

I am a big Ferrari fan, but this is one of the worst designs to ever bare their name. It is unoriginal, uninspiring, bland, boring and down right fugly. Both inside and out. And with an electric lawnmower sounding V6 to boot. Ever since Luca DiMontezelolo left Ferrari and they dropped Pininfarina for that egocentric narcissist Manzoni, they have been going down hill. It shows on track too.

  6. Mozzi says:

P.S. I forgot to mention that the 5 year senior Corvette C8 called and asked for its wheels and rear wing back.
I finally lived to see the day Ferrari, of all brands, to copy General Motors’ design. I’m just waiting for the fully electric four door family sedan with gullwing doors and autonomous driving capabilities a-la-Tesla to mark the end of this once great brand.

    • Greg says:

That’s the point. Too much Ford, Tesla touch and too less Ferrari heritage (apart from emblem and colour) in F80 makes this model not so impressive

  7. Peter says:

Comments calling this car ‘beautiful’ are a great proof to the argument that there’s no point discussing aesthetics with everyone and anyone. This is a car equivalent of a person in one-piece douchebag glasses. At this point I’m pretty sure they can pen literally anything and there will be a bunch of people calling it ‘beautiful’.
