That´s exactly what I had in mind when I said “next level”. Over the past two years I had my 1/18 Ford Mondeo/Fusion modified. That´s the result:

Lights are a novelty; depending on how the lights are utilized; unless there is a app to control them, you will be handling the model to turn them on, plus the possibility of damaging the model when replacing the batteries. I’ve built DeAgostini 1/8 models with the light feature, but don’t use them for risk of battery leakage and other reasons stated above.

Mine has got a coin cell located in the engine bay with the engine as a cover held in place by magnets. Coin cells are widely used in much more forbidding environments without leaking (e.g. car keys). Control is via a remote control and , admittedly, a 1/18th diecast is much less fragile than a 1/8 resin piece.

The only oportunity to get a decent “cheap” 1:8 model is Pocher kits or fascicle collections of magazines…

Laferrari 1:8 of Hachette/Panini is 1300€.. with lights, remote control etc…

Hope in Sweden some magazine release one of this..

Obviously there is a big Jump in quality but is not worth to paid extra 3100€.. (imo)

At the end you could get this or XXXX 1:18, XXXXXXX 1:43 or the money in your pocket.. people that collect figures paid this or more for life size figures..
