GreenLight Collectibles announced today they were purchased by Hong Kong-based Waltersons Industries Group in late 2022… In addition, Vincent Tang has been appointed their new President & CEO. A lifelong collector and decades of manufacturing experience, this can only be a positive move for the brand. In his words “I see so much potential in GreenLight. It’s an awesome company,” – “I think my business experience combined with my passion for die-cast will help the company grow to another level.” It seems fans of the brand like the move too. Here’s wishing them the best success in 2023 and beyond!
GreenLight Collectibles, New Ownership, New President & CEO

I really want to believe in bright prospects, but it seems to me that, as always, only prices will rise.
Prices have always been increasing since the industrial revolution.
Well now that there is a new CEO for Greenlight, I hope for better and new castings and better QC. Even it is more expensive, make better castings and with better QC.
Based on his background, finding efficiencies and quality standards may result in better models overall. What they truly need to expand assortment, as Solido is taking a nice share of this segment.
I hope this means 1/18 Indycar models w/driver figurines back inside the car. As long as it stays die cast, I don’t mind. The Pontiac G8 as well as the 1982 Pontiac Recaro Trans AM WITH BOWLING BALL HUBCAPS in 1/18 would be Heaven on Earth
Having dioramas of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Pylon Scoreboard and/or the Pagoda would be a bonus. But so too would be the Hollywood Sign and the Hill Valley Courthouse Clock Tower from Back to the Future
It’s a bit bittersweet. They did bring some new molds into the market that did not previously exist, so credit goes to the (now ex) Greenlight management.
It always felt that there was potential to do much more. Perhaps the most exciting time for Greenlight was when they squired licenses to make diecast vehicles from famous movies.
I thought that this license had so much potential in opening up many doors for Greenlight. I was super excited when they did the 1:18 Family truckster! I had anticipated other popular movie cars such as the 1:18 Ford Taurus from Robocop, and (due to the acquisition of a license , perhaps a) 1:18 Toyota truck from Back to the Future. In retrospect, perhaps those wishes had always been wishful thinking. Those things obviously never came about, although I had hope that they would eventually be made. This is what makes things bittersweet… I wonder which direction the company goes in now.
I promise to start buying Greenlight Indycars *if* you stop the practice of using the front wheel rims on that rears as well.
It looks so daft – the real rears have much more offset. Have had to put up with this cut-rate shortcut for almost two decades now.
I hope the product quality can be improved, at least maintaining the previous level.
No one has done first generation Dart. 1963-66 . only AW do a 1963-64 Plymouth barracuda It would be nice to see a new casting. Also a 1967-70 dart would be nice too You have a lot that I have already. Nice casting. Thank you. Jeff
Always thought Greenlight owner was Tom’s / Die cast company from the Netherlands
That is not the case.
Hello Will you be bringing back the 1970 C-10 Chevrolet pickup truck, CST model with the long bed and camper light on the rear of the cab?
Don’t know. Connect with GL!
