GreenLight Collectibles New Skins – Ford 1978 Mustang II Cobra II

GreenLight Collectibles just unveiled two new skins for the popular 1978 Ford Mustang II Cobra II.  The feature sees Red with White Stripes and the second Polar White and Gold striping.  Both straight out of the seventies.  Note both images show the cars in painted sample form, not final production.

Really? One of the worse cars made in the US?

    • I was thinking the same thing. My dad had a Mustang II (not a Cobra II, of course). It was a total piece of crap. I took it out for some spirited driving one night. Afterwards the car didn’t run right and he had to take it in for a tuneup. Ironically, my dad’s next car was a 1973 Mercedes-Benz 450SL. One of the greatest cars I’ve ever driven. Big, heavy sedan but you could toss it into a corner like it was a little sports car.

Every family has one. The only redeeming feature of this generation is that it doesn’t seem to have damaged the reputation of the Mustang name. More luck than anything else one would imagine. A car designed by accountants….. :>)
