GreenLight Collectibles is releasing 1:18, diecast metal, 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. The replica is fashioned in the same manner of Unrestored bless the car was sold at the Mecum Auctions. Full 360-access is available, that is great to see. And to add a little authenticity, Mecum scale sold stickers are included too! Does anyone know the history of this particular car? Our efforts to find went in vain.

Thank you. We had sensed it was that. Seems GreenLight isn’t willing to pay the rights to use “Steve McQueen” or “Bullitt”.
They already released the Bullitt version: https://ck-modelcars.de/en/greenlight-1-18-ford-mustang-gt-movie-car-bullitt-steve-mcqueen-1968-12822/p-3044/
Although it lacks the detail of AutoArt’s version, it is more accurate to the movie car.
This version is just a cynical repaint to make more money.
That is the car as it appeared in the movie. What we have here is the same car as it stands today 2019 as un-restored.
I realise that – you suggested that they weren’t willing to pay for the licence though? Which it seems they have, for the previous version.
From a quick check, it looks like this version is also officially licenced, as it has McQueen’s photo on the box and Bullitt on the registration: https://ck-modelcars.de/en/greenlight-1-18-ford-mustang-gt-fastback-unrestored-steve-mcqueen-movie-bullitt-1968-green-13523/p-48910/
Something is definitely up, same car two different model numbers… The first one was issued back in 2018.
I hope someone will do a A45 AMG or A45s AMG in full opening. Norev has already a normal A class, so they would already have a base. I would love to have more Hot Hatches…
