Back in the day, the 510 wagon was a great addition to the 510 line, offering great handling and performance, with the added bonus of great utility. This Ignition model looks like a fine depiction of the car.
I agree. The 510 was sometimes referred to as the “poor man’s BMW 2002” because of it’s great road manners. The sedans featured independent rear suspension, if my memory serves, which was a rare setup on what was essentially an economy car.
Good point! The 510 wagon had a live rear axle rather than the IRS offered on the sedans.
Can Ignition please finally make the Trans-Am winning BRE 510 already?! Ebbro did it a century ago, TSM’s in 1:43 and 1:18 are OKAY but…. Three different cars possible, and two winning season (1971 had a tall Goodyear tires, 1972 had a shorter Goodyear Bluestreaks and slightly updated livery.) Someday I assume/hope!
