KK Scale New Volkswagen Bus T4 Caravelle

If you’re a fan of KK Scale unique European specimens, their latest might just fit your collection.   Welcome the 1:18, diecast metal Volkswagen Bus T4 Caravelle.  The execution is sealed, the colours are four.  They include Red, White, Blue and Grey Metallic.  Their pricing until recently was less than 70 Euro.  Seems retail gone north up 10 Euro from 69.95 to 79.95.  Is their product worth the extra 10 Euro?  We want your thoughts.

I dig it; the proportions look spot-on, and I’m glad it’s metal. However, the subject isn’t a “must-have” for me; I’ve got Schuco’s T1, T2, and T3, and from what I understand Schuco’s making one of these as well. Even with the ten Euro increase, those that want one of these are getting a deal if they don’t care about openings that the Schuco version will offer.
I am excited about KK Scale’s announced Lada Niva, though! The MCG version looks… wrong somehow. Something about the grille. Does anyone know if KK Scale models have a working suspension? With an off-roader like a Niva, posing it with compressed/extended suspension seems like a great addition!
(sorry for the novel- you said you wanted my thoughts!) :)

I’m with you about the KK T4. Looks good! The Schuco 1:18 T4 (so far) is only offered in solid red or silver. Would like to see Schuco offer it in the same blue KK is offering on theirs.

Forgive me, I’m an idiot. I knew KK Scale was doing a Lada, but it’s a newer model Samara. It was the Triple9 Niva I was thinking about. For some reason I thought the Niva would have been made by the same company as the Samara.
I am excited about the KK Scale Mercedes 560SEC, though; it looks fantastic and the road-spec Autoarts are insanely priced right now. (Plus, being an older mold, they look a little… awkward?)

Pretty sure they have spring loaded style suspension and i opened up one before. Setup is similar to Maisto. Totally agreed about the interesting subjects they produce and bless them for making the BMW 7 series and neglected Ferrari subjects.

But i am definitely not happy about the price hike for as much as 10euro. At 69.95 for sealed diecast (or resin for that matter) in my opinion is already bit on the high side and i only bought them because of the subjects and with this price hike I am walking away from them.. unless they produce another “must have” that i truly want.
