Kyosho New Lamborghini Miura P400S – Blue

Kyosho is unveiling their latest resin design, the 1:18 Lamborghini Miura P400S. The model is completely sealed with no functional parts. An exclusive to Asia and USA only, European countries are excluded. Suggested retail $174US. Though the model may present well we miss the days of the awesome diecast-metal, fully opening examples the team at Kyosho brought forward. These sealed pieces pale in comparison.

Nice sort of….. But I really don’t see the point when they have already released a diecast with opening panels, and which tooling still exists for. Why not produce another run of those in a different color? This new resin piece makes little if any sense at all.

This car need it so hard to have opening parts!

I have a beautiful model from Kyosho with opening parts. What they’ve done now is absurd.

this made by GT SPIRIT with Kyosho , Europe version is Red with gold bronze panels and wheels , when as shown here the Asia and USA get it in metallic blue with panels and wheels in silver.

There is still NO point at all to make this regardless of it being a GT Spirit production. That also means that it won’t even be a well detailed curbside model. There are so many cars that have not been made at all, duplication like this is just a lazy money grab.

Why did Kyosho do this? If you want a full opening diecast Miura, the excellent Kyosho and Autoart Miuras are readily available on the secondary market at prices ranging from $130-220, so who is going to shell out $174 for that thing?

Nice going Kyosho… churning out more sealed models instead of just re-releasing the older otherwise perfectly fine opening diecasts which you guys made before. The ridiculous asking price is another slap in the face. No doubt some suckers are still going to pay for them. I like the colour scheme though and i am still missing a P400S.. but at this price i think i will get better bargain hunting down old Kyosho P400S diecast.
