Laudoracing-Models is just about to release their latest Fiat, the Fiat Abarth 1600 O.T. Three versions will be made available, they include a Test version, White and Brown colour. Each is based on the 1965 platform and is executed in sealed resin.

This model represents what Abarth hoped to replace the elderly 600 based racers with. It never reached beyond the development of a few prototypes. It can seen that the centre of gravity of this car was much higher than the earlier model. And a 1600cc rear mounted engine in such a short wheelbase car would have been quite a challenge to drive. This can be seen in the fitment of ever wider rear tyres to try to keep things under control. Something based on the 128 Berlina would have made more sense…..
