More from LCD Model today, we have new production photos of their upcoming 1:18 Suzuki Jimny Sierra and Honda Civic Type-R FK8. The list below will confirm the complete colour list and applicable model number. If you’re not in the know, these examples are good-old diecast metal with full 360-access. From what we gather each will be available come October. The price for the Suzuki Jimny Sierra is roughly $135 CND and the Honda Civic Type-R FK8 comes in at $165 CND. Wow!

I hope someone compares this Civic to the one from AA. For that price I could very well live with a few less details. The pictures look good, but I’d like to see them side by side before choosing.
So at the end the brand that is the HERO of the moment saving the hobby is not AMR…
It´s LCD models.. Don´t look better than autoart, just a little bit less detail, but better price, diecast instead composite…
I though I will pick those 2 instead autoart versions.. and… their purple Huayra looks better than AMR…
Problem is that being diecast has made the Civic look worse than the composite AUTOart. The panel gaps and blunt panel edges of the LCD version look pretty poor in comparison. Are people really so hung up on the material that they’ll buy an inferior model just because it’s metal? Seems crazy to me.
We definitely agree, some people just don’t like change… But what you have overlooked is the price point here about half of the AUTOart example. This is true if pricing as indicated by LCD Model is accurate.
Agree entirely; if you’re buying it because you can’t afford AA money or don’t want to spend that much, it obviously makes sense. You could make a case that the LCD has a better price-to-quality balance, the AA is better but maybe not twice as good!
Yeah the Autoart CTR looks much sharper overall. This one reminds me of the Sunstar Subaru STI. Same kind of poor panel fitment mixed with decent detail overall.
Wes, slightly better than Sun Star. More in line with the old Hot Wheels Elite offerings in our opinion.
The Jimny was kind of unexpected since I only knew about BM Creations and AUTOart that are planning to release it.
This should be the cheapest of the trio as I noticed some lesser details evident.
What is it with the Jimny that everyone has to make. Is it really that popular? And would a 1:1 consider a scale model? Yeow??
I would say in Asia its reputation as an indestructible junior off-roader is well deserved. Such an honest and unpretentious machine you gotta love it!
