LS Collectibles BMW 5 Series Alpina (E28)

Classic BMW’s are making somewhat of a resurgence as of late in 1:1 form.  The team at LS Collectibles is just about to release their version of the 1:18 5 series classic, the BMW 5 Series Alpina (E28).  Three colours will be made available with varied decals, they include Green, Red and Black.  Though these models are pre-production painted samples the rear taillights look rough and the material used for the headlights looks cheap.  If you’re premium priced resin manufacture shouldn’t you be better than your competition?  i.e. GT Spirit.

    The rear taillights –> 0/10

LS collectibles is probably the biggest disappointment in the market at the moment. Even cheap sealed diecasts are way better than their crap. Either inaccuracies or just generally piss poor presentation and the build quality.

They ought to go straight to bargain bins.

The only company I know where the pre-production models look better than the finished product and looking at these that doesn’t say much.

Their E21 looked great in the pre-production photos. When it was eventually released I wasn’t even sure which make and model of car it was meant to be it looked like the had worked from a 2D drawing!

So glad I scanned ebay and facebook market place and managed to pick up 3 AUTOart E21 323i for around the same prices and under (in one case) than an LS E21 Alpina.
