Correction: The Astrovette Concept Car was built and shown in 1968, not in 1958. As far as I know, there was only one car, and that one was white. So why are Matrix offering the model in orange too??? By the way, about 10 years ago the French high-end Corvette model car specialist Kentucky Legend already made a limited series of 75 handbuilt pieces of the same car in the same scale 1:43.
Corrected, thanks. Not sure about the Orange, might be a fantasy colour as some scale model companies do this ever so often.
I have no idea why manufacturers go to the bother of scaling an accurate model, then release it in an inaccurate colour?! Moreover who even buys them in the wrong colour?

The answer to the question about the orange version can be found in the online car magazine “Car Styling” (https://www.carstyling.ru/en/), where it says: “At some point in time, the car was repainted orange, and in 1992 the car was restored to original show car specs.” But still there seem to be non pics of the orange version…
