MINI GT is just killing it with their 1:64 series of models.  The team has just announced an additional collection or series that will focus on the Grand Prix side.  The first two examples include the Lotus 78 and Tyrrell P34 in sealed diecast, the results are great.  The official press release from MINI GT is shared below.

We are pleased to announce the new MINI GT Grand Prix Collection. The collection will be focusing on F1 model cars throughout Formula 1 history. The first two castings are the Lotus 78 and Tyrrell P34. Lotus 78 nicknamed “Wing car” was the first F1 car that fully utilized the concept of aerodynamics. In contrast, Tyrrell Racing Team took a different approach. The four smaller 10-inch wheels design kept an optimal level of traction at the front while lowering aerodynamic drag. The famous Tyrell P34 “6 Wheeler”, was one of the most radical designs in the history of motorsports.  We finally have the chance to create these unique race cars in 1:64 scale and share with our fans.

We also like to announce that we will also be making 1:64 scale models of modern F1 cars. We become a licensing partner of Red Bull Racing in the middle of 2022 and Red Bull F1 models are under development for some time now. You can expect the model to arrive later this year and we will be adding more F1 racing teams in 2023. Please follow our social media closely and we will keep you updated.
