New from Minichamps for week seven are a number of street and race autos.  The feature is the 1:18 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roaster in Red with Hardtop.  Model is from their diecast series with opening parts. Minichamps continues their race BMW series with another livery car based on the 3.5 CSL platform.  Other new materials by scale include:

About the BMW 3,5 CSL…  “The 1974 racing version of the 4 cylinder E9 CSL put out 3498 ccm, 440 horse power at 8500 rpm, accelerated in 4 seconds from 0-60 and reached a top speed of 275 km/h. In the 1976 season the group 5 rules were introduced, which allowed for many changes to the race cars. The 600 horse power strong Porsche 935 won four of the seven races and won the World Championship, but the BMW Coupes, despite a number of customer Porsche 934 Turbos, won three races and the championship was decided only at the very end.”
