Does anyone know where these will be available? What sites will have these for sale?

  2. Jonathan says:

Awesome. Hoping this will be my next daily driver. Been eyeing up their RS7 for a while now but held off because of shipping. Might have to pull the trigger for the two of them now and hope for combo shipping.

  3. Alex says:

looks pretty decent. Shame about the bonnet hinges.. I would have happily traded the opening fuel filler door for proper bonnet hinges.

  4. Robert says:

Nice to see upcoming manufacturers making opening features on their model cars. Lets have more of them!

  5. Derek says:

Why oh why would anyone want to buy the real car in the first place let alone waste your money on a scale model of it. Kia truely build some awful cars and the Stinger is the biggest waste of money. Who in their right mind is going to waste £32,000 base price on a car that will be worth nothing after you take delivery of it. £32,000 buys a quality Mercedes or BMW. Kia are the worst cars money can buy, the only reason people wastet heir money on them is that they offer cheap as chips finance packages and a 7 year warranty…so the cars will constantly go wrong. Truely awful cars indeed. Throw away motoring!

      Lol,
Years ago, I would have agreed. I always said I would never buy a Hyundai or Kia. But after having one as a rental, we bought one for basic work/school transportation. It has been a great car.
Would I spend 32-50k US $ for a Stinger, probably not, but also probably not for many cars.
But, it has gotten good reviews in Road & Track and AutoWeek. It is a good looking rear wheel drive car. You have to give Kia some credit for dropping money on the development of a new rear wheel drive sedan when they could have made yet another crossover / SUV, etc.etc.
Our neighbors had a new BMW and Mini (essentially BMW) and got rid of both within one year because of multiple problems. At one point both cars were nonoperational in their driveway.. They now drive a Porsche, and I am jealous.

Having owned Mercedes, BMW, VW and now 3 Kia’s i can tell you that all 4 manufactures have good products. However the best bang for your buck is with Kia. With warranties, features and power superior to any of those German cars you would have to be in a “brand comma” brainwashed by the badge. Who cares what the dealership looks like? E-commerce is driving all facets of business… no one is going to dealerships in North America anymore. The melenial generation is all about value and less flash. I paid 49k for a fully load Stinger that if i bought a BMW would have cost me 80k.

    • Mike says:

You’re very wrong. I’ve owned a BMW and now a Stinger GT and it’s night and day. The BMW’s interior was lacking, the ride was rough, and the looks are growing stale…this Stinger is incredible so far. And Kia has been kicking everyone’s butt these past few years in quality and overall value. Just check out Consumer Reports last week!

      • DS Team says:

What year was the BMW made?

      • Jay says:

Dealer markup for the Stinger is still the norm AFAIK. Even without markup getting one below MSRP is hard right now. Even without that being an issue KIA dealers are just plain depressing place to be at. I have no intention of subjecting myself to paying more AND crappy dealer on a car that’s 32k and up.

    • Rick Caruso says:

There are a lot of ill informed idiots whom think that the KIA STINGER is a useless car…. Well for those idiots whom I feel own something that they consider a good car… Please think again… I own a Kia Stinger Twin turbo and it’s actually a fantastic car in every department…. So before you open you trap and prove to the world that your a total moron drive one and see for yourself…. 99% of reviews are positive and those that are negative are those fools that are badge influenced !!!!

    • Roger A Vance says:

Badge groupies are laughably lame. My 2018 Stinger GT2 AWD is a great break from 33 years of Mustang GTs, which I love also.

    • Chief says:

You obviously never drove one. A similar vehicle is going to cost you $30k more. You have every luxury except fog lights, (no idea why) and self parking. I love mine and and I have yet to meet a Stinger owner that doesn’t adore their car. Maybe you should know what your talking about before running your mouth on something you clearly don’t.

  6. Stephane Demers says:

The mags are awesome! The hood suffers from a weird gap/thickness at the front plus the horrible cheap hinges :/ I wonder how many people will buy this, as it’s a Kia.

  7. John says:

Yea, pairing doglegs with struts seems pretty ridiculous. If the run in the price range of their previous releases they will be over priced.

  8. Philbs says:

Dreadful scale model of a dreadful car!

  9. Gary007 says:

Looks like an Ford Mondeo from the front and an old Seat from the rear…horrid car.

  10. Roberto says:

The detailing seems inconsistent. What’s going on with those rear lights?? They aren’t supposed to have black tinting. Also the front grille is a let down. Maybe it’s a sample. I’ve been coveting their RS7 since you guys featured it but the price is just tooo much to swallow, especially with shipping to USA.

  11. Marcus100 says:

This car should be named STINKER…what an absolutely ugly and dreadful looking excuse of a car!

  12. Denimman says:

    Ha ha ha Stinker…how apt!

  13. JP86 says:

I can’t believe these comments. I actually really like the stinger and find it a good variation on the mainly streamline VW/Ford/Renault/Opel offerings.
I’m also convinced this model will be another top notch model from Minikraft. I already own 5 models from them and they are amongst the best models in my collection

    • Jay says:

Pick up a Almost Real Land Rover with full working suspension AND all openings work or their Benz S600 then you’ll be even more impressed. The former can be had for ~120 USD. The S600 is ~200.

If you are willing to shell out even more, get a CMC model. That’ll really blow your mind.

  14. JamesJones1 says:

This is one hideous looking car…awful design! Completely agree with the comments…should be named STINKER.

  15. Peter Robinns says:

I completely agree with all the comments…this one horrid looking car…very confusing design… looks like the back of the car does not belong to the rest of the poorly designed car…these cars do not date well at all and neither do they hold any sort of value, they really do plummet like a rock. It really is like throwing your money down the drain…and at £32,000 pounds I can think of many other cars I would rather have. Waste of money indeed!

  16. WarrenJJ4 says:

£32,000 for a Korean car in my eyes is simply a waste of cash. Would not be bad if the car looked good as well and being able and fast but this car has nothing going for it at all. I kind of agree that it looks like an early poor Seat from the rear and a wannabe Mondeo from the front…says much about the Kia designers! That is why you will not see many of these cars on the road at all. As for the name being Stinker…LOL!

  17. Ben Marret says:

    Horrid car!

  18. Philip Meads says:

    Kia Stinker…ha ha ha brilliant!

  19. davebo says:

Looking forward to this. Stinger GT is a great car. Faster and better equipped than everything in its class. Kia was smart to stop making awful cars and headhunt top German talent to turn the brand around.

  20. Sanded Pittsburgh says:

Awesome design! Very cool car! And it’s a Kia!

  21. Jonathan Cavill says:

“Awesome design! very cool car! And it’s a Kia!” dear oh dear, how hilarious. This is one car crash of a car! Awful indeed!

  22. Peter Dyrelund says:

I tried to order the Audi RS7 from the korean company in February 2018.

They answered about two weeks later.

Then I asked if I could also get the Kia Stinger in the same post, but then they did not answer anymore – so I also did not get the Audi RS7.

The Kia Stinger is still not on their website. In fact it looks like nothing is going on. Maybe the company does not exist anymore??

  23. Tim Brooks says:

I just bought the Kia Stinger AWD & its an awesome car with speed, comfort & great looks. Anytime I`m out in it, people are taking 2nd looks at it. Every time I get gas its impossible to leave with out someone asking about it. So I really want the Die cast model of it for my desk. I`ve re- badged it with the ” E” Korea Badge & noticed that they have made the model to match in my Red colour as well. Perfect !!!

  24. Rob says:

    Own one first before commenting!
I love my Stinger and as a daily driver the thought and design that has gone into this luxury GT is phenomenal!
Coming from someone who has had BMW/ Merc and Ferrari F430.

  25. Roger A Vance says:

For all the design haters and German marque fanboys: The attention my Stinger gets wherever I drive it is almost ridiculously intrusive. I have been delayed shopping, errand running, etc. many times to talk to interested gear heads about this car. I thought my vintage Fox body Mustang was popular, but this thing is sleek, low, long, and gorgeous in Ceramic Silver. I’d bet most of the critics drive econoboxes and have never owned nice cars. Trolls abound, lol.

    • Robert says:

Hear, hear! I agree, some of the comments even here are of either people that haven’t seen the car up close or are just jealous because they can’t buy the thing! You really have to see this car on the road to get the whole picture. Low, wide and sleek it has presence! From the rear it says Italian, the sides kinda German and front end is all its own. Looks great inside and out and also practical as it is all wheel drive and a hatchback… A gutsy move on the part of Kia breaking the damn norm of stupid SUVs. I’d go for that, way before considering a brick of a “truck”.
