** UPDATE ** We’ve received confirmation from MR Collection, and the project is officially legitimate—with more exciting releases on the horizon. The Ferrari 488 Pista will be manufactured entirely in-house by MR, with no third-party involvement.
This naturally raises the question: could additional Ferrari models—or even other marques—be on the way? According to MR Collection, “our intent is to introduce other interesting projects in the future,” suggesting this may be just the beginning.
The 488 Pista is currently scheduled to arrive May–June 2026, and we will be purchasing an example for review once it lands. Stay tuned for a closer look.
This is exciting news for enthusiasts of Ferrari, diecast metal, and full-opening models. It appears that MR Collection has been experimenting in this space, and the results are beginning to surface. A fully painted production sample of the Ferrari 488 Pista is currently being showcased in Europe, and from the single image released so far, the outcome looks very promising. Interestingly, isn’t BBR pursuing a similar approach?
We are currently in contact with MR Collection to confirm available colours, the official release date, and the possibility of additional model variations.
From sister brand Looksmart comes the 1:43 Bugatti W16 Mistral in a striking Blue/Carbon finish. Even better, this model is available for immediate delivery.

At last high quality full-opening Ferrari ! I look forward to 458, 488, F8 and 812. F355, F430 would be nice as well. Btw, what about 1:12 scale at full-opening from MR ?
More insights added, direct from MR. Other models are in the works. They did not share :(
Now there is only F40 by Kyosho at 1:12 full-opening. That’s definitely too small choice. I dream about legendary F355 with pop-up headlights from MR
Life is too short to buy sealed diecasts. Especially true for BBR and MR
Neither brand provides sealed diecast, the resin sealed. But both do offer the limited release is diecast metal and full-opening.
“The 488 Pista is currently scheduled to arrive May–June 2026”: do you know the pre-order date?
Since it’s MR this is probably going to cost body parts. Any thoughts on RRP?
This is going to be super expensive.
Ferrari should give license to LCD or Almost real, instead of bburago .
Above 2 brands will be a gamechanger for better price, quality and also openable.
Sounds good! Have many MR 1/18 sealed resin Ferraris and Lamborghinis already. Great quality and presentation. A few opening ones, like the F355, would be excellent. Do not have one of those yet (BBR has one coming out in manual or auto gear choice; as well as multiple colors in sealed resin).
Any ideas on MSRP? How will something like the 488 Pista be priced? This is GREAT NEWS!
No. They haven’t commented on the last email. We’;; try again later this week.
