“As a small boy in the early 60-ties I started to collect all kind of car replicas. Most of them Dinky toys, Matchbox and an occasional Schuco model. In the late 70-ties and 80-ties, working for the Franklin Mint, I had the pleasure of collecting the Mint’s classic car collections. Unfortunately I lost nearly my entire collection during a household move back in the 90-ties. I always wanted to start again with a serious collection of “classic cars of all times”. Back in 2005, I played with the idea of a shop with car replicas.
Finally in August 2006 I started the “MK-Modellautoshop” (classic model car shop) as an internet shop.
Over time our range changed from low range replicas to high end precious miniatures of BBR, CMC, MR Collection, AUTOart, MiniChamps and other filigree artists in 1:18 and 1:43 scale models. In order to provide customers and potential customers a clear picture of our product selection, we renamed the web address of our Internet shop in 2010 to “WWW.MODELLAUTO-KLASSIKER.DE”.
MK-MODELAUTOSHOP, an internet mail order company with the objective to offer high end replicas of “cult cars of all times” to fair market prices the serious collector. We offer exclusive and limited edition model cars of many renowned manufacturers, valuable replicas in scales 1:18 and 1:43. We distribute only products from brand manufacturers whose quality we are convinced of.
An excellent and friendly service – and a wide range of fine miniatures of the highest quality – we find this only normal. Our shop is interlinked with our “real time” inventory system. This means that if an item is out of stock it not only will be marked as such in our shop, but also it cannot be placed in your basket.
