New Brand, same car? Polar Master Audi RS6 Avant

This hobby at times this hobby can be strange and somewhat confusing.  Case in point, the earlier release of the KiloWorks Audi RS6 Avant, which we can confirm is a KengFai company or sub-brand.  Earlier this week we came across the same Audi RS6 Avant from the new brand Polar Master though some are hinting this is LCD Models influence…  So what’s changed, in addition to three new colours this example provides additional love, a functional sunroof, access to the rear storage compartment and the ability to swap fully alloy wheels with future releases of Audi OEM wheels to come.

Not sure what pricing will be at this point and availability is scheduled for spring 2022.  What we can say, our recently received KiloWorks car did arrive with a few components off the car – we assume not enough glue at the production stage.  The model is nice but isn’t perfect either, and in some regards very cheap, especially the manufacturing of the front suspension bits, quite flimsy to say the least.  A possible full review will come, but this will need to wait until 2022 when our lead lens comes back from hiatus.

I see there are new color offerings (light metallic green and medium blue) offerings from KiloWorks. The black one I ordered hasn’t arrived yet but I’m already looking forward to some of the new colors as well as the new brand with the removable wheels! (wonderful idea, depending on its execution).

I know these models are not perfect but I really like Audi/VW models and it is nice simply to have full opening options again as Minichamps phased themselves out of that market and other manufacturers have stepped in.

I have similar experience with kengfai products, which arrived with parts fallen off and I need to glue them back. Yes, their models are detailed and intricate, but the QC could be better. Now kinda fearful to order their products

Any possible news at DS regarding the Super A release with the functional lighting?

Is Polar Master also from China? I have seen many brands released 1/18 RS6 with full openings, but most of them are from China. I have also heard that Super A is making an amazing one but I also don’t know where is Super A from.

It is made by Zhongda Model Co.
