New HRN Model Lincoln Futura Concept 1955

A cool-looking effort from HRN Models is the 1:18 resin and sealed version of the classic 1955 Lincoln Futura Concept.  The model isn’t really 100% sealed, the glass dome structure is removable as per provided photos.  Colours include Light Blue, White and Red.  This is the car George Barris based on the original Batmobile.

Interesting, but an extremely unusual choice, and not necessarily the best unless they already have a commitment from somewhere to buy a quantity of these.

    1995?

Minichamps released a resin 1:18 Lincoln Futura Concept some time ago under their American Dream Cars Collection. The pearl white model by HRN looks very much like that of Minichamps. I wonder if these are the same models (HRN could be the model manufacturer and it was contracted by and sold under the brand Minichamps. There are many model makers in China who are the ones producing scale models for major model brands anyway, and some of them have actually come out using their own brands like Kengfai and Sum’s Models). Just a thought to ponder.

I wrote my reply based on the initial description saying these were in (BIG) 1:8 scale. Was the scale listed wrong?? If it was, and DS Team meant 1:18, then I would completely agree with Henry Chen, and I thought the same as he did when looking at the photos, and also that box. I would also add, who really needs these again in 1:18, and that deminishes any value that the first Minichamps models might have.
