Our favourite budget brand is starting off 2021 with a bang! The 1:18, diecast metal, Mercedes-Benz SL 500 1999 definitely caught our eye. Two colours are available, they include Black and Turquoise Metallic, the latter is a web exclusive and limited to only 200 pieces.

I’m not a fan of their line of sealed body models, as I’m not a fan on any model as big as 1:18 with no poseable parts, but definitely a fan of their models with opening parts. Generally speaking they’re pretty good at capturing the proportions of the real cars in their scale models. That Turquoise Metallic SL is pretty tempting.
Their traditional diecast open models have always been on my buy list. Their detail and price per model may not be matched by another model maker from Europe. US continental, maybe, yes. Long live the 1/18 open diecast model makers!
Bravo Norev, they always deliver every month with diverse new 1:18 models that are produced to a great standard with excellent packaging and also fairly priced. The Ferrari licence should be taken away from those incapable individuals at Bburago and given to Norev.
