OttOmobile is definitely on a role, and the train keeps moving along at a good pace. There is a lot of goodness coming over the next few months from the best priced resin manufacturer today. See articles from this week and the one that will follow this. A new theme is also currently in works, ‘three-wheel’ automobiles. Ha ha ha… Read on!
“Dear OttOmobile Club members,
Once again we’ve had a stroke of luck, the 1st April has not fallen on Friday 13th; imagine if all the April Fools jokes turned into nightmares… No thank you! Let’s all enjoy the day, with its dubious jokes and pranks that will help us forget, albeit temporarily, the rather less joyous news we seem to be subject to lately.
A great many of you have already had a chance to catch of glimpse of our new models at Nuremberg, but we have kept a few things as well under wraps. Once again delving into exoticism, we have gone ahead and produced a Renault 8 Gordini Group F and the Nissan GT-R LM, both unique models in their own rights; a few classics as well with the Citroen Ami 8 and the VW Beetle, the latter wearing its jeans this time. The Talbot Matra Rancho Grand Raid version is also in the line-up along with the Peugeot 405 Mi 16 that you all had been asking for again: how could we say no on our 7 year anniversary? Rally fans will also find their match with two more models having run the Tour de Course, the Renault R11 Turbo and Ford Sierra Cosworth 4×4. And a little something for all you fans of German cars: the Mercedes S124 300TE AMG and an Alpina B12 based off the BMW E31.
With a little bit of everything for everyone, we hope that you’ll like these models. We’ve run the numbers as well, and can proudly say we’ve produced over 200 new models (1:12 included) in 7 years. For some of our competitors this might not seem like much, but for us, this is massive. So much so we had to fit all our staff into one 20m² room to make room for our display cabinets… Not everyone was too pleased about that, but it looks really pretty now!
This newsletter is also the opportunity for me to announce that, following a rather festive evening, we have decided to launch a new collection theme! We’ve had rally cars, German bodybuilders and nineties Japanese models… And now we’ll be launching a 1:18 collection of three-wheel cars!
With one new model coming out every month, we’ll be starting with the infamous Reliant Robin driven by Jeremy Clarkson! This is without counting the numerous Tuktuks and various prototypes developed by slightly off-the-wall engineers. It certainly doesn’t compare to an Audi Quattro in terms of handling, but they’re fun, and that’s all that matters!
We hope you’ll like them!”
