About the Mercedes-Benz 300SL AMG…  “The history of the 300 SL is already a novel in its own right, giving it unlimited access to the pantheon of automobiles. But this particular 300 SL is unique. Solely designed for exports when it left the factory in 1957, it returned to the homeland 17 years later to join the AMG workshop. It then spent a year being fitted with a 4.5L V8 engine with 285 horsepower pushing it along. This model was commissioned by billionaire industrialist Friedrich Karl Flick. The 300 SL AMG remains to this day a unique masterpiece.”

  1. Veneno says:

Finally! A company is making that AMG Gullwing! Any info on how many they will make?

  2. Ilka says:

the AMG should look amazing if it was proper diecast, with proper datail and paint.
This radical styling in the resin makes it look like cheap toy.

  3. Craig says:

IMHO, the AMG 300 SL is a unique abomination, not a masterpiece. No different than painting a sparkly tiara on the Mona Lisa.

  4. Ilka says:

Never understood this Mona Lisa thing. Clearly Leonardo has better works. To me it’s just a great example of group thinking.
