I just discovered that Otto no longer ships to the United States, citing logistical hurdles (are we great yet?) We know who to (ahem) thank for this. Any recommendations of third party sellers are most welcome.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did contact them and they responded by saying that they don’t currently have plans to offer this model. Maybe it will show up on eBay at some point – hopefully not at some absurdity inflated price.
I got the same response from FiveDiecast – surprised they are not planning to stock the 309. Try Diecast Models Wholesale and Mint Models too. I may order direct and ship to my parents house, and get it when I’m home in the UK for Christmas. The whole tariff thing is so frustrating. I recently found the rare Otto 1:12 blue 205 GTI and to ship it from France to the USA was outrageous. Still bought it though :)
A seller in Italy recently listed the Avantime at about $170 plus shipping to the United States for about $43 and it sold almost instantly. They now have another one on offer at the same price but so far it hasn’t sold. I want one, but not at over $230 including sales tax.
When I saw the black Mercedes 560 SEC AMG, I preordered it with a huge smile on my face, as I always wanted this model and I had missed the previous version that they had released some years ago. With no options available as the prices on Ebay were stratospheric, (as they always are), I had to wait and hope that they will release a new version in the future. And to my utter joy they released the best one yet!
