Parnelli Jones’ Big Oly Baja Bronco Tribute Edition

ACME is executing a tribute model to the Parnelli Jones’ famous Big Oly Baja Bronco, in which he won the Baja 1000!  The model seems to based on the budget-Friendly GreenLight series of the same.  Nonetheless, graphic work is kinda cool.  This 1:18 scale model will retail for $79.95 with production limited to just 750 pieces.

I personally never liked when, instead of reproducing a model, they use an existing one and apply the other’s livery. And then there’s no need to make a good replica because “it’s been done”. But hey, let’s call it “tribute”.

Agreed. I assume this is the Greenlight Mold (especially with the product number starting with “GL”) and i will say that the better Greenlight becomes at making 1:18 cars with actual opening parts, the worse their older products look. I wish my 1:18 1967 “Artisan” Impala sedan had the opening parts like the later Greenlight models. I would say this Bronco falls on line with having the same problem as that Impala as well.
