PHOTO GALLERY: BBR Ferrari F8 Tributo

The Ferrari F8 Tributo or tribute as the name implies is a homage to the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history, Enzo Ferrari would be proud. The latest mid-rear engine supercar is powered by a 3.9 Litre twin-turbo boosting north of 700 horsepower.  The F8 Tributo isn’t just quick, it’s insanely fast, some say too wild for the street.  You can never have enough power…  Looks are sharp too, but some will debate the F8 Tributo as not the most attractive horse in the stable.

As for the models, BBR executes well, this example is presented in Rosso Corsa 322 exterior with Yellow brakes along with Silver wheels.  In our opinion the package is quite striking and so is the overall execution.  We all know BBR can fulfill a scale specimen with usually any Ferrari badge with ease.  But this comes at a price,  as BBR is labelled high-end and production numbers are generally low.  Interior hits the mark on refinement and accuracy, as well as the carbon fibre elements inside and out.  Definitely an elegant example of the Ferrari F8 Tributo.  Enjoy the pics!

It’s a truly great model. Considering that there is no diecast alternative, I had to add one. It’s been around and actually sold out for quite some time now. I bought mine for the pretty reasonable €259.20, which is $300 by today’s exchange rate, but back then was even less.

After the spider version of the real car came out, some owners I spoke to, told me that the F8 Tributo name was a tribute to the V8 line in the entry level rear engined cars, which was coming to an end with the F8 generation. I didn’t quite believe them as the V8 going away seemed ridiculous at the time. Not until the 296 was announced. Now it makes sense, since the 296, which is actually the latest rear-mid engined Ferrari, gets more power from a twin turbo V6. The F8 also is not the most powerful V8 from Maranello, since the SF-90, which by the way also came after the F8, produces more power.

From the pictures of the car, I was not convinced that it will make anyone’s top ten beauty list. But after experiencing it in the flesh, my mind changed. It’s a truly modern design that makes the 488 look already outdated. Not to mention the performance, which made quite few Pista owners mad.
