PHOTO GALLERY: KK Scale Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2

A budget model or opening price point doesn’t always need to look toy-like.  The team at KK Scale recently introduced another classic Lamborghini into their assortment of 1:8 scale replicas, this one is the 400 GT 2+2.  Two colours are available, the Light Blue Metallic with Black interior and Dark Grey Metallic with Tan interior.  Either way, each displays a touch of class…

As for the model.   This one is crafted in diecast metal but offers no opening bits.  The shape is accurate to the look, above-average paint and very effective wheels.  Creating authentic multi-spoke wheels isn’t an easy task.  The interior is basic and leans towards plastic, but the painted elements such as the steering wheel and shift know to mimic wood are pretty cool.  No flocking is found either here.  Overall great piece for less than 70 Euros.  Enjoy the pics!

I received mine yesterday. Overall a great budget piece for what I paid (53 euro). Now comparing it to some of their previous releases I have (Ferrari 365 GTC/4 and MB 540K) this one is slightly disappointing. The casting on the rear haunches, especially the left side is irregular. Seems to be a mold line not cleaned correctly. Paint is average on mine a bit dull and with a couple of bumps. Maybe I was unlucky but it seems they can execute a bit better.

Yes a good “budget priced” piece, it looks nice. I just wish it were overall a little better, maybe if all the window trim was chrome instead of silver paint… Also, the knock-off wheel spinners are both wrong on the left side. Three ear spinners of this style are Left and Right side specific. And it’s a shame they used what look like decals for the emblems. Nice, but not much more. I guess this is to be expected in this price range.

We were going to point this out. There are especially weak on the front top hood line on either side. BUT, at this price point, you can’t get everything. We would love to see this one in full 360 access by the likes of AUTOart or others…

As the DS Team says – you can’t have the best of both worlds! If you expect an Autoart or CMC model you have to multiply the Price by 5. It’s really good value for the Money.

I bought all 4 colors of the KK 400 GT and have already received 2 of them. Being my first KK models I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of them and look forward to seeing other future releases from this company.

I’ve read that the quality of some of there other earlier releases weren’t that great but I hope their future models are as good as their 400 GT’s.
