PHOTO GALLERY: Norev Porsche 911 S/T (992) Heritage Design

The Porsche 911 S/T (992) was described as the best road-legal car he had ever driven by German rallye driver legend Walter Röhrl  –  and given his driving experience, that counts for something. To supplement Vitaliy’s Review on Norev´s model, I shall like to share a few pictures of and remarks on the version Norev has made for Porsche Lifestyle (or dealer edition).

Coming in a Porsche box, this features the Heritage Design Package with its Classic Cognac interior, rims exclusively painted in Ceramica, bright instead of black mesh, gold PORSCHE-script and gold 911 badge to mimic the original 1963 911´s features more closely. However, while this package would include the Shoreblue paint and door-roundels as standard, Porsche have once again (after the GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS ) reserved the right to replicate this widely-known press-car for Spark (and GT Spirit)… on a sealed resin. Norev´s effort features a so-called “Paint-To-Sample” colour option, a metallic green so dark that it is just so not completely black, the extremely rare Dark Olive Metallic.  A 911 S/T of that exact same colour really does exist, and not just anywehere, but was in fact right at Diecastsociety HQ´s local Porsche Dealer in August ´24 who said this about its colour: “Dark Olive Metallic is a modern Porsche color introduced on the 911 (996) Turbo S, and later offered on the 997 generation of 911 as well as 987 generations of Boxster and Cayman. As you can tell in these photos, Dark Olive Metallic is virtually black most of the time. However, under direct sunlight, it shows off its dark green and gold metallic flakes. It is a very challenging color to photograph, and prospective buyers should be aware that this color is rarely ever discernible from black in most occasions.” In contrast to chassis # 0658, Norev´s has been specified with the option to delete the “lollipop” roundels, but keep the PORSCHE decals on the doors and have the red instead of white tail lights.

Wow, just a lovely spec! Norev is seriously hitting a home run with their modern Porsches. We just took delivery of the their 718 Spyder (review to come), and it’s brilliant, possibly their best model to date!

Wow gorgeous color combo. Hard to justify the price markup for the Porsche packaging but perhaps still a good value. Looking forward to the 718 review.

  3. Vitaliy D says:

Wow! So it is actually dark green! This makes this model much more interesting in my eyes, because from the previous online photos I was thinking it was just black!
    Thank you, Karsten!

Now that is an interior I wouldn’t mind getting.
And overall the colour combo is great.

That said, the exterior colour mystifies me. When I first heard of the colour name “Dark olive metallic”, I expected it to be olive green. Then I saw some photos looking basically black. So i though, ok, it is not the colour “olive” which is green, it must be called after the dark – black – olives.
But now finally I see it is actually a green colour, just a very dark one. What a mess…
