In the early eighties the Porsche 956LH was savage, savage meaning dominate!  Solido has captured two cars, each from their Competition Series in 1:18 scale, they include the Porsche 956LH Winner Le Mans 24H Le Mans 1984 #7 – drivers Henri Pescarolo, Klaus Ludwig and Stefan Johansson.  The second highlights the Porsche 956LH 24H Le Mans 1986 3rd Place #8- drivers George Follmer, John Morton and Kenper Miller.

As for the model, typical Solido execution, diecast metal at an affordable price!  There is no doubt these are mass-production models.  The exterior side is surprisingly accurate but don’t expect the finer details that are usually reserved for higher-priced brands…  Decal work is particularly salutary as the supplied photos will show.  Access is only permitted via the doors.  In comparison to direct competitor Bburago is somewhat of a disappointment.  Our samples did provide some challenges, we broke the hinges on one door on each model, hence the lack of photos with doors ajar.  All in all, for those looking for a modest budget entry and some great shelf presence, each will do the trick.  Enjoy the pics!
