Count me as a Minichamps fan. This announcement is good news . Is this the first Porsche 992 in 1/18 with full openings to be released? I’d love to know if there are others.
This is good news. Quite frankly the 992 GT3 should’ve gotten the same treatment.
Minichamps are just so weird – the 991.2 GT3 gets an opening model, while the 991.2 RS (supposedly a more popular car) doesn’t. The RS models also have the same diameter for the front and rear wheels instead of bigger, downsized 21″ wheels in the rear. It’s not too late, they can still change directions with the 992 GT3 and release versions with full access.
Why do these models have #20 on the doors?
To celebrate 20th anniversary for Porsche in China.
Thank you. I hope there will be a non-numbered option released at some point.
Thank you.
Good news but horrible colors
Those look like they’re supposed to be some of the Porsche Paint to Sample colors. I see Rubystar, possibly Oslo Blue, possibly Gulf Orange, Mint Green, and Viola Purple Metallic. It’s neat to see some of the non-standard colors, but yeah, I do find them rather tacky. Not a fan of the body colored interior inlays either. And as if that weren’t enough, they have red seatbelts. Yikes!
So the opening version of this modelcar is only released for carloverdiecast in China and here in Europe we get the stupid closed version? Minichamps lost me as a customer…
Again proving how disconnected this brand is with the community. They lost me many years ago. Oh, Paul!
