Road Kings is sharing new colours for their version of the 1:18 scale Kenworth W900. Black/Gold, as well as Red/Black, are new to the fold. These mighty giants look awesome in photos. How do you rate them? Maybe one day we’ll see one in the flesh!

I could be mistaken, but the black and gold version is a replica of the truck from the original Smokey and the Bandit film. Very cool to see someone make that truck!
I’ll correct myself…the truck in the film did not have an extended sleeper like the model. Although I prefer the look of the extended sleeper personally.
I bet the black and gold truck will sell out quickly. People who have the black 77 Trans Am will be more than happy to shell out the money for this truck even if it isn’t 100% accurate.
True, I am one of them, happy owner of Bandit’s ’77 Trans Am and a Smokey&the Bandit trailer by MN Trailers, loaded with boxes of Coors Beer and figurines of Bandit, Snowman and Sheriff Buford T Justice, all on a shelf highway diorama. For sure the Peterbilt will have to give way to this Kenworth and figurines of Frog (Sally Fields), Junior, and big&little Eno will join the scene to make it more accurate. Then only the Dukes of Hazzard Sheriff’s Dodge Monaco will be the wrong ride. But I can’t see the Pontiac cop car coming out any time soon. The Enos might need a Caddy too.
