Now, this is an odd surprise. Solido is set to release the Bugatti Atlantic SC in 1:18 scale. If memory serves us well there was no mention of this beauty in their 2018 catalogue. And one begs to ask the question, is something so classic and so pure need to be replicated from a budget-focused brand? We tend to disagree, what are your thoughts folks? If interested two colours are yet to be confirmed. Possible Blue and Black in the works. Only time will tell.

As you know, it’s been done by AUTOArt, Neo, and CMC in 1/18 but of course at a premium price. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to offer it for a “popular “ price though one would wonder if there is a market for it. Btw, it has also been done numerous times in 1/43.
If they do this well and price it right this may sell (not sure how popular pre war cars are among diecast model car collectors) but i will definitely make room for this beauty I missed the CMC boat when it was cheaper and I am not willing to pay too much for it so Solido might do it for me… Looking at their new offerings i have positive vibe about them.
You may be right. My view on this one might be a little narrow…. I’m just not interested in anything low budget oriented.
Granted that these will probably be low price entry level models, but I really don’t think we need any more 1:18 Bugatti Atlantic models…..And…..BoS has also just announced this same car in their 1:18th line. Actually two different Atlantic’s, so the field is pretty crowded now.
I think this is great, a budget friendly car that can be modified ;)

I don’t think we need another 57SC Atlantic especially the R.B.Pope car in budget version. So many great Bugatti that should be done in 1:18 and they keep making Atlantic chassis 57591 again and again.
