Sometimes we have to eat our own words. In the case of the upcoming release from Solido, we initially denounced the pre-production images as somewhat rough around the edges. We were wrong! From an entry-level scale replica, this model is very capable.
Let us officially present new images of the production version of Solido’s first Formula One race car. This 1:18 scale replica captures the Renault RS18 “Version de Presentation”. The race car was unveiled digitally in back in February 2018. The same platform is driven by the German Nico Hülkenberg and the Spanish Carlos Sainz Jr.

Uhh, nope. Solido’s first 1/18 Formula One model cars were released in 2007: Alain Prost’s 1985 world championship car McLaren Honda MP4/2B Turbo and his 1986 world championship car McLaren Honda MP4/2C Turbo. Both were released in regular Solido boxes and in special display/promotion boxes.
Only thing is that nobody wants a presentation version, we all want the race car!
