Technomodel, A little too Late?

Technomodel’s version of the 1:18 Mclaren Speedtail has finally been released.  Two colours are available, they include Metallic Red and Geneva Metallica Light Bronze Councorse Villa D’Este.  With the announcement and upcoming release of the AUTOart version of the same, this one might be one of those too little too late situations.

It definitely seems too late. Had they released this a year ago when an Autoart release was farther off on the horizon they could have sold to many impatient collectors but now seems too late for them to profit. My guess is that this was intended to be released far earlier but Tecnomodel was bogged down by the global problems with manufacturing and logistics. While Autoart is subject to the same forces they are more immune since they are a much larger company.

I am gutted with their poor effort as I was buzzing to get their 1:43 release as you could probably expect a quality of a Looksmart of a British Hypercar. I’ve gave up on my pre order and settled for TSM’s release as I really like the car and couldn’t hesitate to get one soon as. Although it’s been a hassle to get w decent one without w flaw as TSM’s QC often is, well…

I can’t accept an excuse of on going on pandemic as all you need to do is to go through the DS website to see that they’ve released quite a lot of cars since their first tease of them releasing the SPEEDTAIL in the future.

Although for Tecnomodel’s excuse is the fact that their recent releases were based on pre-made projects of cars they already had an experience with likes of F1 or Ferrari’s. I guess that the approach they had to take to survive during those difficult times and that’s forgivable.

At last I hope the 1:43 version will be released any time soon offering a great quality model
