First of the painted samples are rolling off the assembly line at TOP Marques for their version of the 1:12 Ferrari BB512. Not typically seen of a resin replica the model features a few examples with headlight up. Also, the rear bonnet is removed to reveal the beast. We understand this is a pre-production sample, but the motor looks like poo. Dare we say it, this is one case where the example would be better off sealed.

I am not impressed. It might be sort of ok just as a gap filler in a model collection, but that’s about it. I see very many flaws and mistakes from front to rear. There are just no excuses these days for the mistakes and problems we are seeing from Top Marques and many others. The technology exists as well as the knowledge to produce accurate model cars, but with the big 1:12th models they almost always go the route of making models only to a standard of what they seem to think is good enough, which in reality it is not.
With that said….they did however do a great job with their Ferrari Dino 246 models, and it appears that their Ferrari 250 Lusso will be good, though it does have some issues, but is better than most.
