TOP Marques | GP Replicas New Projects!

Keeping up with both brands is like decoding morse code.  We’ll do our best to define the latest highlights from each.  The feature holds a new addition to the 1:12 open motor series, the car is the Ferrari 250 GT SWB.  The second grey-wear piece is the 1:18 Mercedes W196 1954 Fangio car.  She is looking quite dapper.  For painted samples, we share the 1:18 Tom’s Supra in Black and the 1:12 Lotus 78 Mario Andretti car.

Ferrari 250 SWB. Here we go again…… Great choice, but possibly flawed…again. Yes I do realize this is an early ‘grey sample’, but if it is the car I think it is…. S/N 2689GT, from Le Mans 1961, car #14, currently owned by Bruce Meyer, then there are some noticeable problems. Roof line appears wrong – angled down too much, bottom engraving of trunk (boot) lid is wrong, and seats are sitting much too high. Of course the 3 ear knock-off shown is wrong for the left side, but that’s ok since this is just an incomplete sample. Maybe they can make corrections in time if their “associate” bothers to take notes here.

I hope the engine detail will be better than what they have done so far on their other models showing engines – all have been too simple, toy like. One other thing to mention…..this gray piece bears an uncanny, striking resemblance to the somewhat smaller CMC model of the same car. Almost looks as though it was 3D scanned and enlarged……

Hello, have you seen the new Top Marques Ferrari 250 gt Berlinetta Lusso?
I really want to buy it, if it is good. Although i have seen 2 things that quite bother me about it: The steering wheels doesnt look wooden, and it has no brake calipers. Can u tell me if they replicated the body shape well?
