Update CMC Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman (W100) (UPDATE)

** UPDATE  ** We have more photos to share of upcoming CMC Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman (W100).  It still requires a lot more work based on these photos.  Hopefully, this effort is worth the large price tag…

CMC is giving fans another update on the upcoming Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman (W100).  This image shows the “sunroof” version. There a clearly some improvement over the earlier photos from January of this year.  However, lots more work to be done here before it can be clearly defined as a CMC creation. This one won’t come cheaper either, almost 800 Euro (VAT included).

Compared to the Autoart model, this is terrible. Although I assume that the version from the CMC will have more elements.

Red seats for this elegant car, look ugly in my opinion. Autoart model is hard to improve

At this point looks rougher than SunStar platinum series…
But maybe it’s just at this point.
Does anybody know, did any lead designer/engineer left CMC recently?

  4. MLB says:

Not at all interested in this one, maybe they will sell a lot, but maybe not. I know many collectors who won’t even consider looking at this. And the red interior is a terrible color choice. AutoArt did a great job, and with good colors.

Well it needs to improve 1000% more and way more then the current models CMC are offering, between over sized, badly placed Philip head screws, like on the c type,to the plastic blob engine in the D50,CMC have lost their eye for details.
I was a big CMC buyer, until I brought the D50,and haven’t brought one since,I like their car selection they chose to model but the detail, and quality, just aren’t there anymore, what’s next from CMC resin parts creeping into the models. Its a fact of life things need to move a long, but their prices do not reflect it.

So true. I was a huge fan of CMC and collected pretty much everything from them until DB4.: First off, the shape is not true to real one, and I was not happy that they used fake toy-like suspension mechanism design like old Franklin cars…In the good old time, CMC charged 200 ish USD for Birdcage the masterpiece. Now for>300, they offer less. 700 dollars for this? Nah.

  6. Veneno says:

I feel like this is not worth the asking price and those hubcaps look horrible.

Aa did a good job with their version and also made the SWB Grosser to go along with it. I am satisfied with the Aa’s

  7. Luis Cantu says:

Have you noted the oversized MB Star? It’s a shame. Somebody please ask CMC team to pay attention to the comments of us, old and expertise collectors!

  8. RCD says:

Looks horrid. This thing is almost $900 on Cmcmodelcarsusa get real. It better improve by 100x and have working LEDs in there and a fridge.
